THE LONGHI WATER RADIATORS RANGE HAS A 15-YEAR WARRANTY WHICH CAN BE EXTENDED FOR LIFE WHEN FITTED TOGETHER WITH THE KITS, THE HOLDER AND VALVE OF THE SAME BRAND
The entire range of De’ Longhi water radiators, which also include plates, decorative radiators and ordinary, mixed and Air System radiators, enjoy a 15-year warranty. Included in the package of the radiators are the network hardware, but not the valves and fittings with the existing heating system.
- If you use the fitting kits of the house, De’ Longhi, aware of the high quality of its products and their reliability over time, offers the possibility of extending the warranty coverage for life, both the radiator and the accessory kit.
- An advantage not just considering the possibility of choosing between kits with keepers and weighs with or without thermostatic head, provided that, in the latter case, it is still a thermostatic valve that allows the purchase in a second time of the thermostatic head.
Towel Radiator De'Longhi
The package of the towel warmer includes the air vent and the mesh fixings, with adjustable spacers, screws, expansion plugs and finishing caps.
Copper pipe and valve assembly
After removing the protection caps at the ends of the radiator, it is applied at the top, where there is a single perforated terminal, the vent valve, while in the lower part (presence of a hole for each terminal) should be applied the holder and the valve, both square. The two elements are disassembled to screw first the connection with the radiator seat.
Each connection has a gasket O-ring and must be tightened with a 13 mm hex key.
The valve has a threaded part on which the collar of the fitting is screwed, which must be tightened with a fork wrench or a parrot.
All the possibilities of choice
Among the kits of fittings to the existing thermal system there is the possibility to choose between blister packs complete with holder and thermostat valve, other identical kits with the addition of the pneumatic head, or the purchase of only the head mostatic, without other annexes.
This is to meet the needs of those who prefer to check first, with the actual use of the radiator, the need for automatic adjustment of the same and add the thermostatic head only in case of need. Those who already know that it is necessary, however, get the complete kit, where there are both the thermostatic valve and the thermostatic head. The valves and holders, with pleasant design lines, are in chrome finish.
Easy installation
- Measure the distance between the hydraulic connections and the point where the wall connections are to be placed: two at the top of the radiator, one in the center at the bottom.
- The measurements taken are reported on the wall, referring to the position of the water connections present, and make the holes for the insertion of the expansion plugs, included in the package.
- The spacers are made up of two pieces, one of which enters the measurement in the other in order to make the appropriate adjustment. The larger glass goes towards the wall and is fixed with the screw of the dowel. After inserting the second piece of each spacer and temporarily locking it with the side screw, the radiator is put in place (the upper spacers must remain in the second space from the top, while the lower one in the second space from the bottom).
- To secure the radiator to the spacers are used retaining stops of plastic material, identical to that of the spacers, with a long central screw.
- Before tightening the screws of the spacers, the radiator valves are centered with the connections of the existing hydraulic system and the large nuts are screwed with a fork or parrot key.
- With the help of a spirit level you control the verticality of the element in the front and side view; after the adjustments tighten the screws of the spacers, first the main ones then those on the side.
- The application of the pressure caps concludes the installation of the radiator on the wall, which remains finished properly, without visible screws.
- For the assembly of the thermostatic head, the plastic knob that covers the valve is removed and in its place the automatic knob is applied, screwing its sealing ring down.
